The blanket's design is named Chief Joseph and has been produced since the 1920's. Chief Joseph was a Nez Perce warrior and his Indian name means Thunder Rolling Down Hill. This is a new and unused KING blanket. All the original tags are still attached. According to an attached booklet, the Chief Joseph blanket is the oldest, on-going blanket produced by Pendleton Woolen Mills.Its design is balanced with arrowheads symbolizing bravery and pointing in all directions of Mother Earth. My next-to-last photo is a stock photo to show you the entire blanket which I couldn't do in my small bedroom. The blanket is WHITE, not off-white or creamy ivory. Due to allergies, my home is free of pets and smoke.
